Faberlic photo and video production: inside the work

The Faberlic collection brings together three photographs and seven videos for different products. We look at how preparation, work with people on camera and post-production shape the finished material.

What connects this collection?

The Faberlic portfolio includes beauty portraits, product images, fragrance stories and a domestic scene. These are different pieces of the team’s work. They should not be read as one campaign or the output of a single shooting day.

Each asks a practical question: how can the product appear in a context the viewer understands? A close-up reveals a detail. A model’s interaction adds gesture and mood. A domestic scene introduces a different setting for the product.

What did preparation involve?

The team’s work included casting, location selection, preparation and shooting. These stages connect a visual idea with practical conditions: the person on camera, the environment and the actions the image needs to show.

For a new project, the starting point is the product’s role in the scene. Contact with a face or hair calls for early decisions about framing and movement. A product-only image puts more emphasis on form, surface and light. A shot list makes those requirements clear to the people preparing the shoot.

Why does each product need its own treatment?

The photographs include a portrait with a mirror and fruit, two models with lipstick, and a powder compact against a burgundy background. Each connects the person, colour and packaging in a different way.

The films vary too. Fragrance stories work through imagery and movement, while the household sequence uses a domestic environment. Editing rhythm and framing serve each scene. Working with one brand does not require every product to look the same.

How do shooting and post-production work together?

The team’s contribution included editing, colour correction and retouching. Photography requires attention to an individual frame. Video also requires continuity across successive shots. A transition should not unexpectedly change colour perception or distract from the action.

When planning a new series, list photographs and films separately among the deliverables. A photograph depends on the selected moment; a film depends on the sequence. Having footage does not mean every still frame can replace a dedicated photograph at the required quality.

What can you see in the finished collection?

Three photographs and seven videos are published on the site. In the album, you can play each film, compare compositions and inspect the work with light, movement and colour. These counts describe the displayed collection, not the brand’s complete historical commissioning record.

Advertising budgets, sales and conversion figures are not reported here. Assessing commercial impact would require separate placement and campaign-performance data.

How should you brief production for your brand?

Identify the products, audience, intended uses and required formats. Specify whether the work needs a model, a real location or a product set. Agree the number of final photographs, films and versions, together with the revision process, before shooting.
